Job Purpose *Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
*Preparation of statutory accounts for Limited companies and Sole Traders
*Preparation of accounts from core records, using FRS 105 and/or FRS 102
*Preparation of and submission of VAT returns
*Preparation of and processing of supplier payment runs
*Manage cashbook, postings and reconciliations
*Review expenses, purchase invoices and credit cards
*Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries
*Support junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development
*Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency
*Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations
*Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements *AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying
*A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
*Strong working knowledge of relevant software, including MS Office, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
*A team player who can also work autonomously
*A can-do attitude to problem-solving
*Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
*Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
*Strong commercial awareness
