SEN Teaching Assistant | Mansfield NG19 | £95-£100 | Long Term To Perm | ASAP
Long term futures are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Mansfield. The successful candidate will work with children special educational needs SEN.
About the Role: As a SEN teaching assistant you will play a key role in supporting students in a specialist setting that provides holistic support. You’ll work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners.
Key responsibilities:
*Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
*Helping children with their understanding of the teachers’ instructions
*Working with individual learners in the classroom or working with individuals or small groups in the learning support department
*Keeping track and recording pupil progress
Key experience
*Working in a teaching or teaching assistant role
*Experience working with SEN children especially working with ADD/ADHD/Autism
*Strong communication and social skills to manage the needs of the children
*Enthusiastic and flexible attitude.
To Be Eligible For This Role You Must:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
