POSITION: Senior Associate – Commercial, TMT and IP (4-6 PQE)

A highly respected international law firm is looking for a driven and ambitious Senior Associate to join their growing Commercial, TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications), and IP (Intellectual Property) team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with a global footprint, offering exposure to top-tier clients and high-value work in sectors like technology, healthcare, finance and more.
As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll have the chance to work on a wide range of non-contentious commercial matters, from supply chain contracts and IP transfers to cutting-edge technology agreements. You’ll be supported by industry experts in delivering strategic legal advice to a diverse client base, including major corporates, SMEs, public sector bodies and not-for-profit organisations.
ROLE
*Provide expert legal advice on a range of commercial contracts, including supply chain, franchise, distribution, IT and technology agreements.
*Advise on intellectual property rights, data protection compliance and UK GDPR-related issues.
*Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on large-scale projects and transactions.
*Draft, negotiate, and review contracts to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
*Support corporate transactions with due diligence and ancillary agreements, such as IP transfers and licences.
*Proactively engage in business development activities to grow the practice and build long-term client relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
*England & Wales qualified lawyer with proven experience in commercial law, ideally within the technology, media or IP sectors.
*Strong drafting and negotiating skills, with a keen eye for detail.
*A proactive, problem-solving approach to legal challenges.
*Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal concepts in a clear and client-friendly manner.
*A strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to manage time effectively.
