Job Description:
Procurement Manager  *Salary: £48000-£53000, DOE 
*Location: Sutton, Surrey. 
*Job Type: Full-time - Permanent - 36 hours a week. 
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our clients Procurement Team with a focus on Estates and Facilities categories. The role involves formal tendering, leveraging frameworks, and contributing to the implementation of the organisation’s Procurement Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, particularly within the public sector, and be adept at stakeholder management and project prioritisation.
Day to Day of the role: *Take responsibility for formal tendering and purchasing for assigned categories.
*Develop market knowledge and apply this to understand customer requirements, identifying opportunities for innovation and savings.
*Utilise commercial intelligence to execute category opportunities.
*Manage customer relationships to drive efficiencies and establish communication plans with key stakeholders.
*Lead on Supplier Relationship & Contract Management, including performance improvement and savings initiatives.
*Interface with Trade Associations and industry forums as appropriate.
*Maintain up-to-date contract registers and provide expert procurement advice.
*Ensure compliance with Public Contract Regulations and adhere to best practices.
*Analyse spend data to inform future procurement strategies and manage relationships with service providers to ensure value for money.
*Mentor team members and prioritise workload to achieve team goals.
*Maintain confidentiality and accurate accounting records.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Public Sector Experience.
*Proven experience in managing end-to-end tenders.
*Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2024 or willingness to learn quickly.
*Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload.
*Strong stakeholder management skills.
*Not solely a strategist but someone who can progress with minimal supervision.
*Friendly and approachable demeanour to effectively engage with stakeholders.
