Job Description:
Experienced civil engineering biased Environmental Advisor required to join a leading civil engineering contractor to oversee some of the largest civil infrastructure projects in the UK, traditionally ranging in value up to £500M. Majority of works predominantly include, highways, rail, aviation and tunnelling and heavy infrastructure schemes.
The role of Environmental Advisor:
Reporting into the Head of Environmental and working heavily alongside the quality assurance team and site teams. You will be based in across a range of sites covering the North West.
Responsibilities for Environmental Advisor:
This Environmental Advisor role will include regular liaison with subcontractors and clients to ensure they are following the correct business procedure. Enforce and roll out Environmental management standards and systems, alongside informing legislation changes and business development & strategy. Whilst promoting and providing training for new and existing environmental campaigns.
As Environmental Advisor your number one priority is to ensure the sites you oversee are operating in alliance with the existing Environmental standards.
Requirements for Environmental Advisor
You will be an experienced environmental Advisor with previous involvement within the construction/ civil engineering sector. Former experience working within the civils sector would be advantages. Key attributes will include industry knowledge, legislation awareness, and ability to effectively communicate with individuals of a ranging hierarchy.
