Your role as Audit Senior
As an Audit Senior, you will join our client’s busy audit department, focusing primarily on the audit of owner-managed businesses. You will be involved in auditing client accounts both on-site and at client premises, while managing accounts preparation for a variety of entities, including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, trusts, and charities. In this role, you will:
- Perform audits and accounts preparation based on records provided, working both on-site and at client locations
- Conduct tax computations for income and corporation tax as part of the accounts preparation process
- Work closely with the Tax Department by gathering essential information for P11D preparation
- Provide feedback to clients on improvements that can enhance their accounts function
- Handle VAT and PAYE reconciliations, advising clients or managers of any adjustments
- Occasionally assist with client cash flows, forecasts, and business plans, contributing to third-party presentations
- Supervise and support junior team members on audit assignments, aiding in their development
- Assist the Audit Manager in planning, reviewing, and monitoring audit assignments to ensure timely completion

What you’ll need to succeed as Audit Senior
- Relevant experience in an audit role with a strong grasp of auditing standards and accounting principles
- ACA qualified or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey information to clients and colleagues
- Solid organisational abilities to manage priorities and handle multiple assignments
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Proven ability to delegate and guide junior staff during client projects
- Confident IT skills with a readiness to leverage technology to meet client needs
