Are you compassionate, resilient, and dedicated to supporting children with special educational needs? We are looking for a committed Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team in Littlehampton. In this role, you will work closely with children who face a range of complex challenges, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and behavioral issues.
Key Responsibilities for a Behavioural Support Assistant:
* In the role of Behavioural Support Assistant, you will provide individualised support to children who may exhibit challenging behaviors, including physical outbursts. Your calm, patient approach will help foster a sense of safety and understanding for each child.

* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to build an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere where every student can thrive.
Ideal Candidate for Behavioural Support Assistant:
* Experience: Experience working with children who have special needs is ideal, especially those with autism, ADHD, or behavioral challenges. A care background would be desirable too.
* Skills: Ability to stay calm, patient, and adaptable, with strong communication and de-escalation skills.
* Training: Familiarity with positive behavior management, safeguarding, or SEN support is an advantage.
* Resilience: Able to remain focused and calm during challenging situations, with the ability to meet each child’s unique needs effectively.
Why Join Us as a Behavioural Support Assistant?
* Supportive Environment: Become part of a team dedicated to making a real impact in the lives of young learners.
* Professional Development: Benefit from continuous training to expand your skills in special education, behavior management, and more.
