We are looking for a Junior Tech Engineer to join an excellent client of ours based just outside of Bishop’s Stortford.
This role would suit somebody with a keen interest in IT & technology who is looking to develop their skills in a great company.
The Job:
Working as part of a busy technical support team, completing customer repairs and support queries will be the main part of your role on a day to day basis, with customer service always being your first priority, with the help and support of a friendly and experienced team.
*Preparing new devices for shipment to customers, possibly adding specialist hardware, software or firmware.
*Troubleshooting, problem resolution and component repair/replacement for hardware and software issues.
*Telephone and email support for customers and the sales team.
*Inventory control - Controlling stock levels of spare parts to complete repairs & maintain spares availability.
The Candidate:
*Practical knowledge of PC, smartphone and laptop hardware.
*Knowledge of Windows (desktop OS), experience with OS and driver installation across versions from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
*Good knowledge of Android operating systems.
*Troubleshooting and support experience- hardware & software.
*Experience with tablet technology, both hardware & software (desirable).
*Experience with Intel/Windows and ARM/Android architecture (desirable).
*Experience in soldering and sub-component repair (desirable).
*Motivated, methodical, and customer focused.
In return, my client will be offering a salary of £19,000 - £23,000 (depending on experience), with great opportunities to learn and develop.
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (with early finishes on Fridays!)
