Job Title: Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor
Location: Primarily North West with occasional travel to other sites
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + package
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours
Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Role Overview
The H&S Advisor will join a growing team, primarily focusing on health and safety compliance for new and ongoing construction projects. With a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, this role involves inspections, audits, and reporting on-site to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. The first project spans 30 weeks, and subsequent assignments range in value from £500,000 to £1.5 million.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular Health & Safety inspections on-site
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Prepare RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
Perform construction environment checks and report any issues
Conduct audits to evaluate and enhance safety measures
Create detailed reports to document inspections, incidents, and recommendations for improvements
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate should have a solid background in construction health and safety, with hands-on experience in RAMS and compliance audits. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a site-based team are essential for this role.
