IG Corporate Finance Advisory

Description of Business Line

The FIG corporate finance team focuses on providing strategic advisory services to financial institutions in the context of M&A and ECM transactions. Split across London and Paris, the team covers clients worldwide, with a focus on situations developing across Europe.

We advocate a culture where everyone can have an impact and provide opportunities for everyone in the team to be fully involved in all aspects of a transaction and make recommendations on how we can continue to improve our service offering to clients.

We look to provide bespoke solutions for our clients, often working with other product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the origination and execution of transactions across the Financial Institutions sector (M&A, ECM, Acquisition Finance)

• Preparation and pitching presentations for clients, investors and broader investment community:

o Financial statement analysis

o Financial modelling

o Company and industry research

o Company valuations mainly using market multiples, M&A multiples and the DDM / DCF and LBO

• Help develop transaction structures / structured solutions

• Keep up to date with M&A, equity and debt related issues

• Work with other country and product teams as required

• Supervision of interns and owning responsibility for their work

• Respect all rules and ethos of the Bank to protect firm’s and clients’ interests

• Assist wider team in developing origination strategies for identified target customers. Elaborate marketing pitches on M&A, ECM or Acquisition Finance situations

Profile required

Experience / Competencies Required

• Experience providing advisory services within the FIG sector

• Very strong financial modelling skills

• Strong communicator, both written and verbally

• Detail orientated and diligent

• Able to work on multiple tasks at the same time, showing strong organisational and prioritisation skills

• Strong team player

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• European language skills are welcomed but not essential
