Job Description:
Company Overview
Gimme Credit is widely recognized as a leading independent corporate bond research firm. Our daily reports are read by thousands of investment professionals at hundreds of banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, investment management firms, and securities firms.
We offer the ability to work remotely, competitive compensation, full benefits, collegiality, intellectual satisfaction, and possibly some fame.
About the Role
As a Corporate Bond Analyst, you will join a renowned team focused on producing written research and data sheets (with projections) on a coverage universe of major bond issuers in one or several industries or sectors. In addition, you will respond to client questions, make client presentations, support sales and marketing efforts, and respond to press inquiries.
The ability to work and think independently is key. This means no reliance upon Wall Street or the rating agencies. You should have an M.B.A. and C.F.A. with excellent academic credentials. You should have 5+ years of high-yield credit research experience. We’d like you to be a great analyst and a good writer. You should also be comfortable responding to questions from clients and the press.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Conduct in-depth analysis of corporate issuers and bonds in the context of industry trends, regulations, legal issues, and event risk.
*Write concise and compelling one-page analytical reports on companies, highlighting key factors influencing investment decisions. Be aware that roughly 90% of the job involves written communication, often on a deadline.
*Provide well-reasoned buy or sell recommendations based on your analysis and relative value considerations.
