Overview:
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Heywood. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, covering classes in teacher absence, and leading interventions to support student learning and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
*Classroom Support: Assist with lessons, ensuring students stay engaged and focused.
*Cover Classes: Manage the classroom in the absence of the teacher, maintaining a positive learning environment.
*Lead Interventions: Run small and large group interventions, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
*Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
*Support Individual Needs: Provide additional help to students, including those with SEN.
*Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress.
*Safeguarding: Ensure the well-being of all students by following safeguarding procedures.
Contract Details:
*Position: Teaching Assistant
*Contract Type: Long-term (Ongoing)
*Start Date: November 2024
*Full-Time: Yes, 08:20 AM - 3:45 PM
*Rate of Pay: £90+ per day
Qualifications & Experience:
*Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
*Experience: At least 12 weeks of experience working in a UK school setting.
*Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable, but training will be provided).
Eligibility Requirements:
*Right to work in the UK
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
*Two professional references from educational settings
