About you:?
You will ideally be a DevOps engineer with experience working with Azure. This will really suit you if you have ideas and knowledge on how to improve the development lifecycle and put to action.

Day-to-day, you will:?
• Apply or assist the Divisional DevOps team with implementing the DevOps shared vision and roadmap
• As part of the cross functional DevOps team, contribute to the wider engineering & operations team(s) best practice, operational & Security excellence & reliable, transparent deliverables against the DevOps roadmap.
• Look for opportunities to eliminate silos, drive continuous improvement & automate business processes to maximise customer delight. Lead Agile retrospectives and recommend improvements.
• Assist with the design & implementation of Infrastructure as code standards - using standard Access tooling. Ensuring we build testing, including security testing into our CI/CD Pipelines.
• Ensure solutions are integrated into mainstream product tooling, i.e. AzureDevOps and Site Management tools.
• Performs technical and procedural operations of divisional IT operations, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Participates in the Scheduling and supervision of all IT maintenance and installation work.
• Ensure that operational problems are identified, recorded, monitored and resolved. Provide appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers.
• Ensures operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose & current. Perform problem resolution and root cause analysis.
• Assist the Information Security team with the completion of Application Security questionnaires. Assist with the co-ordination of 3rd party penetration tests & vulnerability remediation. Assist division with implementation of OWASP SAMM2.
• Ensure that application operations environments are architected for scale, security, elasticity, redundancy and recoverability. Following well architected frameworks. Assist with implementation of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) principals
• Work with the other DevOps Engineers to understand & implement best practice, agile & methodologies, knowledge sharing & address technical challenges across the wider portfolio of products.
• Own, manage and be accountable for specific projects and deliverables, managing risks and dependencies with autonomy.
• Write clean, self-documenting code that is well structured, well-named, simple and easy to read.

Your skills and experiences might also include:??

• Working with Cloud infrastructure. We use Azure, but experience with other providers such as AWS or GCP is also relevant.
• Previous experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a focus on tooling, automation and systems operation.
• Using IaC automation tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of containerised deployment and management using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Managing and using observability systems for logging, metrics and alerting.
• Creating and maintaining CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• An understanding of common networking techniques like load balancing.
• Working with highly available, scalable cloud solutions.
• Experience of implementing cloud infrastructure security.
• Experience of ensuring operational continuity, scaling and improvements.
• Working on an on-call rota.
