Location: St Pauls Cray - Orpington BR5 2RA
Salary: £11.44 per hour

Who are Ambient Support?
Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with a mental health needs and people with learning disabilities.
The Role
You will be supporting the Credo team in building a trusting relationship with students to maintain and improve their quality of life through engaging in ceramics and the creative arts process to increase independence, confidence, connection and wellbeing.
Some of the people we work with have a range of physical health needs in addition to their mental health needs who might need more practical support to engage fully in the group learning process
The role of our Credo Ceramic Assistant:
* Assist the Leader as required in ensuring the smooth running of the service.
* Working with students in workshop learning activities
* Working with students on agreed objectives identified in their learning plan.
* Understanding and using administrative systems and procedures, such as record-keeping systems, housekeeping, stock taking and petty cash systems.
* Ensuring the workshop is clean and tidy.
* Work in partnership with volunteers.
* Attendance at meetings as required, such as hand-over, staff meetings, project meetings and supervision meetings.
* Reporting any unsafe practices or equipment, in line with Health & Safety requirements.
* Working in a professional manner and maintaining professional boundaries to ensure and effective and safe learning environment for individuals and groups.
Skills and attributes of our Credo Ceramics Assistant:
* Experience of running or setting up a social enterprise
* Experience of ceramics
* Experience of facilitating group workshops
* Experience of site maintenance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills*
Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate the ability to organise own workload and set priorities*
Ability to write reports, strategies and business plans*
Ability to manage time effectively*
An ability to present information to a wide audience clearly and confidently*
An ability to engage with people with a range of complex needs to support learning.*
Ability to develop projects*
IT skills including word, excel, power point and outlook*
Ability to liaise with a range of people including clients, carers, volunteers and potential partner organisations providing information on projects and activities*
