Job Description:
Job Advert: Engine Builder (Contract)
Location: Near Burton upon Trent
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm, Friday 7am - 1pm (44 hours per week)
We are looking for an experienced Engine Builder to join our team on a contract basis, with the option to move to a permanent position later on. This role involves refurbishing engines used in rail, marine, and industrial sectors.
Client Summary:
We are a leading manufacturer and front-line supplier of powertrain products in the UK and Ireland. Our areas of expertise include engine overhaul, final drive overhaul, and locomotive refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strip and rebuild mechanical components of engines.
Follow OEM manuals and assembly specifications.
Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
Ensure health and safety standards are met.
Complete accurate documentation.
Work to tight deadlines and support team members.
Mentor apprentices when needed.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds in motor repairs or equivalent.
Experience in the rail or automotive industry.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
