Role Type: Locum, Full-Time
Contract Duration: 2-Year Fixed Term
We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to join our Moving and Handling Team. This role supports our Single-Handed Care Project, making a meaningful difference to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities: *Conduct moving and handling assessments for individuals with complex needs.
*Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and deliver tailored moving and handling training to formal and informal carers.
*Recommend and provide guidance on specialized equipment and major adaptations.
*Collaborate with partner agencies, demonstrating professionalism and building strong working relationships.
*Assess client needs, develop comprehensive care plans, and ensure effective implementation in line with current legislation.
To excel in this role, you should be:
*Qualified and HCPC registered (or hold equivalent moving and handling qualifications).
*Experienced in supporting individuals with complex physical disabilities.
*Knowledgeable about the latest moving and handling techniques and equipment advancements.
*Confident in working independently, managing a dynamic workload, and making impactful decisions.
*Proficient in IT, with a good understanding of relevant tools and systems.
*Skilled in communication, able to engage effectively with professionals, carers, and clients.
*Familiar with current legislation and best practices related to moving and handling.
