Data Migration Lead
Remote / occasional visits to their London Offices
£Competitive Day Rate
Immediate Start - Initial 6-month contract
The Data Migration Lead will play a critical role in integrating acquired entities onto a unified ERP platform. Reporting to the Project Manager, this hands-on position involves leading data mapping, transformation, and validation activities to ensure seamless migration of financial operations.
By collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging advanced SAP tools, you will help enhance data integrity, streamline processes, and support the strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan, execute, and oversee data migration activities for SAP solutions, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality standards.
*Collaborate with Project Managers to address resource constraints and align migration plans across multiple projects.
*Conduct data migration meetings and provide weekly updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress and addressing challenges.
*Work with IT, finance, and external vendors to define data migration strategies and gather requirements.
*Perform detailed data analysis, addressing inconsistencies, and implementing corrective actions for quality assurance.
*Design and execute data mapping, transformation, and validation processes for accurate ERP integration.
*Develop comprehensive documentation, including migration plans, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
*Conduct rigorous testing to ensure migrated data meets integrity and compliance standards.
*Lead workshops with acquired business teams to align on data requirements and specifications.
*Identify and mitigate risks, escalating critical issues as necessary.
What We’re Looking For
*Expertise in SAP data migration tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, SAP SDI, SAP Migration Cockpit).
*Proven ability to address data quality challenges and define corrective measures.
*Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
*Broader understanding of data strategies in non-SAP systems complementary to SAP landscapes.
*Experience in data lifecycle management and Information Lifecycle Management strategies.
Skills and Competencies:
*Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Strong communication and collaboration abilities, including leading workshops and cross-functional teamwork.
*Ability to navigate complex issues, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under pressure.
