Job Description:
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a market leading Omni-Channel Retailer & Wholesaler within the Fashion / Ecommerce sectors, with the search and selection of a new Head of Supply Chain, based at their Leeds operation.
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
You will bring your analytical, leadership and change management skills to improve the supply chain process and network globally. You will implement new systems and processes across planning and warehouses functions, ensuring a consistent approach and in stock availability of fashion related items.
• Review current S&OPs and ensure these are aligned to processes, are updated and that the business understand and adhere to them.
• Implement Lean Principles at every possible opportunity to drive and improve efficiency in all areas of operations, and to ensure that all of these principles are adopted by our global warehousing, logistical & supply chain operations
• Complete analysis on key operational areas and work with the management team on improvement opportunities and drive these through in all of the operational sites within the business
• Review, in conjunction with the management team, the current KPI measures and reports and identify where these can be adapted and improved to maximise improvement / process improvement opportunities and then manage these on a project by project basis within the UK facility and then into other operational sites
• Manage projects internally and externally to agreed deadlines and standards
Background and Ideal Qualifications:
• Proven Supply Chain management and logistics experience in a fast paced B2B / B2C environment including an understanding of web based ordering systems and processes
• Demonstrated experience of process improvement and measurements in either a distribution or retailer environment to identify improvement opportunities and efficiency gains is essential
• Experience of evaluating processes and systems and identifying improvement opportunities, including time and process measurement and developing KPI’s against these systems
• Experience of leading a team within demand and supply chain planning, facilitating stock item movements from low-cost manufacturing countries.
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Supply Chain, Logistics or Textile Studies is desirable
