Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel - Derivatives to bolster their rapidly expanding derivatives business, particularly focusing on OTC derivatives.
Key Responsibilities:
*Negotiate commercial agreements related to derivatives
*Engage in external negotiations with counterparties and their legal representatives
*Conduct regulatory compliance research pertaining to derivatives
*Develop a comprehensive derivatives framework tailored to the business needs
*Provide legal advisory services and implement compliant solutions
*Participate in additional legal projects as required
Required Skills:
*3-7 years of experience as a derivatives trading lawyer or markets lawyer
*Proven track record in negotiating ISDA agreements and other OTC derivatives
*Experience in creating templates and internal guidelines is highly desirable
*Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to OTC derivatives
*Familiarity with prime brokerage and cleared derivatives is advantageous
*Ability to adapt traditional financial concepts to the crypto context
*Eagerness to learn about cryptocurrency and related legal areas quickly
*Strategic mindset with a focus on broader business objectives
*Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly for novel legal challenges
