£40,000 - £45,000 & discretionary annual bonus
Core Hours : Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm

The Compliance Team Leader will manage a team of four compliance specialists within the Property Management Compliance team. The main focus is ensuring adherence to various legal, regulatory, and internal policies, while leading the team in delivering effective compliance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Oversight:
o Ensure adherence to legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements (including RICS/ARMA standards, VAT governance, AML policies).
o Manage client money handling processes and oversee service charges for commercial properties.
o Oversee audit processes and site audits.
Internal Compliance:
o Manage key compliance areas such as permissions governance, breach management, and client onboarding checks.
o Oversee monthly management reporting for senior stakeholders.
People Leadership:
o Set clear objectives for the team and ensure continuous personal and professional development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
o Lead recruitment efforts to build a strong and diverse team aligned with the company’s goals.
o Foster an environment of trust, engagement, and professional growth.
Skills & Experience:
People Leadership:
o Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience in performance management and conflict resolution.
o Able to delegate effectively and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise:
o At least 3 years of management experience within a compliance or related field.
o Familiarity with compliance standards (such as SOC1 and Making Tax Digital for VAT) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
o Compliance qualifications (desirable but not mandatory).
Personal Attributes:
o Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
o Ethical, with a strong sense of integrity and curiosity to drive innovation and efficiency.
oHighly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
