Job Description:
Dispatch Administrator Location: Coleshill, Birmingham
Salary: £20,000 to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday to Friday, Days, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full time
Contract Type: Permanent
Main Purpose of the Role
Responsible for the acknowledgement, dispatch and transportation of orders using groupage networks and general haulage, and a focus on reducing costs.
Main Responsibilities
*Ensure the service provided is of a high standard
*Provide advice and guidance re dispatch and lead times
*Manage customer complaints in a timely manner end to end to ensure they are closed off
*Run daily reports to allocate stock to orders for dispatch
*Create picking lists for Operations
*Book out jobs ensuring correct labels / delivery notes
*Ensure systems and processes – internal and external – adhere to
*Plan routes and use efficient transportation means to reduce costs
*Ensure PODs are generated and issues for deliveries, reporting discrepancies
*Monitor the shared mailbox
*Liaise with haulers to aid smooth delivery
*Log and monitor haulers performance
*Liaise with the sales team to ensure orders are acknowledged in a timely manner and check they are received
*Regularly talk to Sales & Ops to check orders done in lead time
Person Specification
*Experience of working within a busy team environment
*Familiar with pallet network portals
*Experience of working within a busy sales team
*Excellent communicator skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise
*Team player that can help motivate
*Ability to network at various events
