Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organized Move-On Support Coordinator/Resettlement Officer for a housing provider in Bournemouth, to assist individuals transitioning from supported housing into independent, sustainable accommodation. This is a time-limited role designed to maximize support for housing providers and clients, fostering relationships and creating opportunities for successful transitions into stable housing.
Locaton - Bournemouth
Pay - £18 - £20 P/H (Paid weekly VIA Umbrella)
Contract Length - 12 Weeks - Ongoing
Key Objectives
*Support clients and providers to facilitate smooth transitions from supported housing.
*Promote daily structure and activities to ensure clients are prepared for independent living.
*Build and maintain positive relationships with housing providers, partners, and landlords to secure quality accommodation.
*Ensure transitions are sustainable and meet the long-term needs of clients.
*Assist clients in securing appropriate, long-term accommodation.
*Guide provider staff in navigating private rental markets, landlord relations, housing registers, and council incentives.
*Develop and sustain strong relationships with housing providers, landlords, and partners to maintain a consistent supply of quality housing options.
*Ensure that accommodations meet clients’ long-term needs and promote sustainable tenancies.
*Address safeguarding and risk management concerns during the transition, following established policies and procedures.
*Maintain accurate case notes and log activities using appropriate systems.
*Ensure timely completion of tenancy-related documentation and benefit applications.
Requirements
*Proven experience in housing support, tenancy sustainment, or related fields.
*Strong knowledge of housing legislation, private rental markets, and support services.
*Ability to build positive relationships with housing providers, landlords, and community partners.
*Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
*Familiarity with risk management, safeguarding, and case note documentation.
*Proficiency in relevant software for case tracking and communication.
