About our client
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join the team of a multi-strategy, private investment firm with focusses spanning venture capital to fund-of-funds. This role will support their investment professionals across a broad range of activities including valuation, market research and portfolio support. The current portfolio includes fund investments, and direct investments in a broad range of industries including, but not limited to, media, travel and food & beverages. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial analysis and an interest in the startup ecosystem.

What the job involves *Provide support in the management of our existing portfolio, including data collection, analysis, and reporting on key financial and operational metrics
*Conduct in-depth financial analysis and build valuation models for potential investment opportunities across diverse industries
*Assist in the due diligence process, including evaluating business models, financial statements, and industry dynamics
*Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and assess risks, providing insights to inform investment decisions
*Track portfolio performance and prepare regular reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
*Conduct industry and market research
*Collaborate with team members to prepare investment memos, presentations, and strategic recommendations
Who we are looking for *Full-time experience in consulting is preferred, financial analysis, investment banking, or an additional related field; venture capital or private equity experience is a plus
*Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis software (e.g., Capital IQ, PitchBook)
*Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to argue a point of view and corral colleagues when necessary
*Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
*A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, someone willing to role their sleeves up in a diverse role
*Interest in venture capital, startups, and emerging market trends
