Financial Controller

Job Description:
This fast moving and dynamic newly created business, with a highly credible and proven Executive team, as well as dynamic and vastly experienced investment team, are looking to appoint into the new role of Financial Controller.
A full time permanent, key appointment, the successful individual will be instrumental in developing and implementing the new financial controls, systems and processes required to produce efficient and robust accounting information.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director this is a rare, exciting and prosperous opportunity for someone to play a pivotal role and gain invaluable experience and personal development.
Key accountabilities:
*The Implementation and ongoing management of financial systems and control.
*Preparation of Monthly management accounts including variance analysis and reporting.
*Preparation of budgets and forecasting for the company as a whole as well as for each development.
*Project based accounting and costings including viability reporting.
*Financial analysis including forecast v actual results.
*WIP calculations.
*Cashflow management.
*Supervision of finance personnel.
*Preparation and presentation of financial information to the executive team as well as the investor set.
*Cross functional liaison with personnel at all levels of the business
*Liaison with HMRC, external accountants and other third parties as required regarding statutory compliance matters.
*VAT returns (monthly)
*Weekly and monthly Payroll including CIS.
Qualifications and experience sought for this role:
Ideally fully qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA, although ’qualified by experience’ accountants who have strong accounting experience, combined with the relevant experience in setting up new systems and controls should also apply.
Strong systems and controls experience.
IT: Experience of Sage is highly desirable and strong Excel skills essential.
