Location: Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
Pay Rate: £22 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Contract Duration: 25/11/2024 - 25/02/2025

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in an Emergency Department setting to join Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. This role involves rapid assessment, intervention, and discharge planning to support patients and ensure safe and effective care transitions.
Key Responsibilities: *Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients presenting in the Emergency Department.
*Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to prevent admission and promote discharge.
*Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
*Provide advice and education to patients and their families on managing conditions post-discharge.
*Manage a varied caseload effectively within a fast-paced environment.
*Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with professional standards.
*Participate in clinical governance and contribute to service development initiatives.
Key Requirements: *HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
*Proven experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting.
*Strong skills in rapid assessment, clinical decision-making, and discharge planning.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a dynamic caseload.
*Experience in collaborative working with multi-disciplinary teams.
