Job Advert: Engineering Geologists
We are currently seeking two highly skilled and experienced Engineering Geologists to join our client, a leading engineering consultancy in the field of geotechnical and geoenvironmental services. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in delivering ground investigations and providing expert geological advice to support the design and construction of various infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Conducting desktop studies and site investigations to assess geological conditions and identify potential risks.
Collecting and analysing geological data, including rock and soil samples.
Conducting laboratory tests on samples to determine their properties and suitability for construction.
Preparing and presenting geological reports to clients, highlighting findings and recommendations.
Providing expert advice on geological hazards and potential mitigation measures.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of geological considerations into project designs.
Undertaking fieldwork, including geological mapping and monitoring of site conditions.
Conducting risk assessments to identify and manage geological risks during construction.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering.
Requirements:
Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
Proven experience working as an Engineering Geologist in the engineering consultancy industry.
Strong knowledge of geotechnical and geoenvironmental principles.
Familiarity with ground investigation techniques and equipment.
Expertise in geological mapping and analysis.
Proficient in laboratory testing and interpretation of results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to produce clear and concise reports.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Salary and Benefits:
