Sport & Uniformed Public Services Lecturer
*Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
*Location: Dorset
*Salary: £25-£35 per hour
Join our team as a Lecturer in Sport & Uniformed Public Services at our dynamic college. This role involves delivering high-quality and effective teaching and learning to students across Level 1-3 in Sports and Uniformed Public Services. You will also provide personal tutoring to students, guiding them towards progression or employment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Contribute to the development and delivery of Sport and Uniformed Public Services courses.
*Provide high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best practices.
*Create an outstanding student experience that leads to progression or employment.
*Offer academic and pastoral support to students in line with agreed procedures.
*Participate in the college’s appraisal process and undertake any appropriate training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
*Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve one within 2 years.
*Minimum Level 3 or Graduate (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area such as Level 3 BTEC in Sports or Uniformed Public Services.
*Experience in facilitating learning for students in Further or Higher Education or an appropriate workplace setting, such as a school.
*Current evidence-based practice in Uniformed Public Services and Sports & Fitness.
*Knowledge of issues relating to equal opportunities and cultural diversity.
