We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join a specialised medium-secure healthcare facility in the York area. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist passionate about working with individuals with learning disabilities and neurodiversity in a therapeutic, secure environment.

The Role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions to detained males within the Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders (LD/ASD) Service Line.
Your role will include:
* Providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions using standardised clinical tools such as the Model of Human Occupation.
* Acting as a key contributor to risk assessment and management strategies within a secure setting.
* Supervising and mentoring other occupational therapy team members, including therapy assistants, to ensure high standards of care.
* Driving service development and innovation in line with best practices.
* Acting as a role model to promote the value of occupational therapy in the therapeutic environment.

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or neurodiversity.
* Strong knowledge of occupational therapy within risk assessment and risk management frameworks.
* Supervisory or leadership experience, with a collaborative and positive approach to team dynamics.
* A commitment to professional development and delivering excellence in care.
