Job Description:
Uniserve is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to take charge of our daily payroll operations. You will ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of all UK and international payrolls, mentoring a small team, and driving process improvements across the function.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9.00 to 17.30 (Hybrid working).
Duties:
*Oversee the end-to-end processing of UK and international payrolls, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
*Supervise and develop 2x Payroll Administrators, managing workloads and providing essential training to foster a high-performing team.
*Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in all payroll operations and reporting.
*Keep up-to-date knowledge of all UK/HMRC and international payroll legislation.
*Act as the first line of support for managers and senior leaders in absence of Payroll & Benefits Manager.
*Liaise effectively with Accounts, Finance, and HR Data teams, and manage relationships with external partners (HMRC, benefit providers).
Experience:
*Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ payroll experience.
*Prior experience in a supervisory role with the ability to influence senior stakeholders (e.g., Group HR Director, Group Payroll & Benefits Manager).
*Excellent understanding of payroll processes, reporting, benefits administration (pensions, private healthcare), and relevant data privacy (GDPR).
*Experience ensuring effective use of payroll software and managing data integrity checks.
*Proven experience dealing with external partners, auditors, and benefit providers.
