Are you a creative and compassionate Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re looking for an inspiring teacher to join a welcoming specialist school in Watford, supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), Speech and Language Difficulties, and Complex Learning Needs.
About the Role:*Teach a small class of primary-aged pupils, adapting lessons to meet individual learning and developmental needs.
*Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages communication, independence, and confidence.
*Use creative and multi-sensory teaching approaches to engage and motivate pupils.
*Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to support progress and well-being.
*Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching that supports pupils’ EHCP outcomes.
About You:*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) is essential.
*Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally in a special school or inclusive mainstream setting.
*Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual supports is advantageous (training can be provided).
*Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
