About the Opportunity


RP Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a long-established leader in the manufacturing sector. This forward-thinking organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function across the UK and Europe.
This is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial information, while supporting strategic growth and driving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the Finance team, managing all day-to-day finance operations, payroll, and reporting activities.
*Deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports in line with strict group deadlines.
*Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic financial planning.
*Manage capital expenditure processes and ensure effective control of assets and liabilities.
*Lead internal and external audit processes, year-end statutory accounts, and corporation tax submissions.
*Drive cost analysis, margin improvement, and operational efficiency across the business.
*Oversee the preparation of standard costing, VAT returns, and compliance with all financial and legal regulations.
*Act as the company’s representative for pension and IT system-related matters.
*Foster a culture of continuous improvement, people development, and cross-departmental collaboration.
*About YouProfessionally qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
*Proven experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*Strong technical knowledge of management and statutory reporting, cost control, and compliance.
*Experienced people leader with the ability to mentor, motivate and develop a small, high-performing team.
*Commercially astute, analytical, and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
*Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving business with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
