Job Description:
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Support Officer to assist in the effective and efficient management of cases within a family court advisory and support environment. This role involves supporting professional staff with a range of administrative tasks to ensure smooth case progression and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
*Receive and process referrals from the court or intake teams.
*Create, update, and close case records using the internal case management system (ECMS).
*Monitor case progression and maintain accurate documentation.
*Prepare and send letters and information packs to service users.
*Follow up on missing information to ensure case completeness.
*Provide general administrative support including telephone handling, reception duties, and document management.
*Participate in team and organisational meetings as required.
*Support both Public Law (e.g., care proceedings) and Private Law (e.g., parental disputes) teams, depending on operational needs.
Person Specification
*Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within legal, social care, or public sector settings.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Confident using IT systems and managing sensitive data.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
