Robert Half is seeking an experienced Interim Finance professional to support global finance and compliance activities, with a particular focus on SOX compliance, US GAAP reporting, and software project capitalisation.
ASAP start.
6 month assignment.
In office 5 days - Manchester City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
*Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) financial controls and act as liaison with internal and external auditors.
*Manage capitalisation of software projects and ensure documentation meets SOX and US GAAP requirements.
*Partner with global business teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
*Support monthly financial reporting and analysis for UK legal entities, including P&L, balance sheet, and cost centre reviews.
*Assist with year end closing, statutory accounts preparation, and coordination with external auditors.
*Contribute to R&D tax claim calculations, ONS reporting, and tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax).
*Provide ad hoc support on invoice queries, and general finance administration.
Requirements:
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
*Strong background in SOX compliance and internal controls.
*Experience with US GAAP, particularly software capitalisation and revenue recognition.
*Proficiency in ERP systems.
*Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in international organisations.
