Bookkeeper/Office Administrator

Join our team as a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator and play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and operational efficiency. This position is perfect for someone detail-oriented, organised, and eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. Primarily focused on finance (approximately 70/30 split), this role offers the flexibility to adapt based on our evolving business needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
Financial Duties:
*Record Management: Keep financial records precise and current, handle invoices, payments, and receipts, and ensure all financial transactions are entered into our system without delay. Update financial trackers and assist in compiling financial reports periodically.
*Accounts Management: Oversee both accounts payable and receivable. This includes processing and verifying invoices, issuing invoices, pursuing overdue payments, and reconciling accounts to resolve any discrepancies.
*Banking Tasks: Conduct regular bank reconciliations and address any mismatches between bank statements and our records.
*Administrative Support: Organise financial documents and provide administrative assistance to the finance team as required.
Administrative/Operational Duties:
*HR Support: Aid the HR Manager with recruitment processes, onboarding new starters, and implementing new HR policies and procedures.
*Procurement: Manage the acquisition of office supplies and equipment in accordance with our budget.
*Financial Oversight: Monitor office expenditures and maintain budget compliance.
Ideal Candidate:
*Methodical and highly organised with excellent time management skills.
*Keen attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
*Proficient in administrative tasks including communication, data entry, and record keeping.
*Professional and discreet when handling confidential information.
*Effective communicator across all company levels.
*Basic knowledge of accounting principles and systems.
*Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Experience Required:
*At least 2 years of experience in a finance-focused role, with substantial bookkeeping duties.
*Experience with basic HR procedures is preferred.
