As the company scales its operations, the Finance team is looking to add a capable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support day-to-day financial processes, ensure transactional accuracy, and contribute to finance operations that underpin high-profile talent deals and partnerships.
Role PurposeThe Finance Assistant will provide transactional support across the finance function: processing invoices, expense claims, assisting with month-end routines, supporting accounts payable/receivable, preparing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an interest in the creative / entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities*Process supplier/vendor invoices and ensure timely payment in line with internal controls.
*Handle expense claims (talent, staff) accurately and efficiently.
*Monitor and reconcile supplier statements and expense accounts.
*Support the preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments.
*Assist in preparing periodic accounts (e.g., trial balance support) and supporting documentation for month-end close.
*Assist with accounts receivable tasks (invoicing, follow-up on outstanding balances) as required.
*Maintain accurate fixed-asset and expense tracking registers.
*Support the finance team with audit, tax or regulatory documentation when required.
*Liaise with internal stakeholders (operations, talent management, marketing) to ensure timely submission and coding of financial transactions.
*Continuously improve finance processes, suggest efficiencies and maintain documentation of procedures.
Person Specification – Essential Skills & Experience*Proven experience (typically 2 + years) in a finance/transactional role (accounts payable / assistant accounting role).
*Strong numerical and Excel skills, with experience of accounting software (preferably a cloud-based ERP or finance system).
*Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical approach.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills: confident liaising with suppliers and internal business teams.
*Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
*Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, especially given the high-profile nature of the business.
*Comfortable working in a creative/entertainment environment where priorities and transactions may evolve rapidly.
