Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add an QC Inspector to their team on a permanent basis. You will be based in the south of Aberdeen.
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7am – 3pm, Friday 7am – 1pm (weekend overtime available)
Hourly Rate: £18 – £21p/hour, 1.5x OT weekdays and 1st 4 hours on Saturday 2x thereafter, 2x Sunday
Daily Duties –
*Carry out First off, In-process, Final, and NDT inspections of machined products accurately
*Review documentation supplied with goods that require quality inspection
*Raising non-conformance and inspection reports for internal and sub-contractor jobs
*Submit all hardness, non-destructive and drift testing results to spreadsheet
*Witness pressure tests to verify equipment is being tested in accordance with the quality plan and customer requirements
*Coordinate with internal departments to resolve product quality issues
*Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and participate in internal and external audits as required
Candidate Requirements –
*Time-served or HNC/HND level in relevant engineering subject
*Background within manufacturing or sub-contracting environment within Oil and Gas industry
*Experience of ISO9001, API Q1 & Q2
*Dye penetrant inspection level II or Magnetic particle inspection level II (Desirable)
*Driving Licence
