Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a CMM Inspector to their team on a permanent basis within Glasgow.
Hours: Monday – Friday (37 p/w) across early, back, and night shift
Hourly Rate: £22.40 (OT – Saturday 1.5x and Sunday 2x, shift allowance across shift pattern)
Daily Duties –
*Carry out first-off, interim, and batch inspection for machined parts using a variety of measuring equipment
*Measure components through selection of appropriate probes and attachments for the CMM
*Perform visual inspection of final batch components to ensure customer specification is met
*Assist with checking machined parts both in inspection and on the shop floor
*Compile and analyse manual/ CMM inspection reports, NCRs, and liaise with production staff to action issues
Candidate Requirements –
*Minimum 3 years inspection experience within a machine shop
*Proven ability to accurately inspect machined part using measuring techniques e.g. CMM, vision CMM, Shadow Graph
*Can understand and interpret complex engineering drawings for dimensional and visual acceptance
