Property Administrator – Central Durham
Salary: From £28,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Durham (Office-based role)
A well-established lettings company in central Durham is seeking a reliable and proactive Property Administrator to support the lettings team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for property management.

Role Overview:
As Property Administrator, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate records, liaising with utility companies, and supporting both tenants and landlords. You’ll ensure compliance with property standards and assist with the coordination of maintenance and inspections.
Main Duties:
*Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date utility records across all properties.
*Liaise with utility companies to set up new accounts and provide timely meter readings.
*Handle incoming calls professionally, addressing tenant inquiries effectively.
*Work alongside the in-house maintenance team to resolve reported issues promptly.
*Instruct contractors where necessary to rectify property issues.
*Attend HMO inspections with Durham County Council and ensure compliance with their reports.
*Ensure new properties are fully furnished, including carpets and white goods.
*Book and maintain property certificates (Gas CP12, Electrical EICR) to ensure compliance.
*Maintain a clean and organised office environment.
Requirements:
*Property Administration experience is essential
*Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
*Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication.
*Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Fixflo) is advantageous.
*Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment.
*Proactive problem-solving and strong organisational skills.
*Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
