SEN Teaching Assistants - SEN Secondary School (Southampton) Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
We are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated SEN secondary school in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs in a specialist setting, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities *Provide tailored support to students with complex learning, behavioural, and communication needs.
*Assist teachers in delivering adapted lessons and modifying resources to meet individual requirements.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Support pupils in developing independence, confidence, and social skills.
Requirements *Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
*Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different classroom environments.
*A proactive attitude and commitment to supporting student progress.
