About Us
My client is a growing SME headquartered in the heart of Chester city centre. With diverse operations including an aparthotel business and multiple active projects, we are now seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join our close-knit team. This is a key role within the organisation, offering broad exposure, ownership, and the opportunity to make a real impact as we continue to grow.

The Role
As Finance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic financial management of the group. This is a fully on-site role (5 days per week) working alongside the senior leadership team to ensure robust financial control, insightful reporting, and effective business partnering.

You will oversee and deliver a wide range of duties, including:

Management Accounts Preparation
*
Business Partnering for the business
*
Group Cashflow Management
*
Inter-company loan management
*
New project Actual vs Budget cost reporting
*
Group Payroll & CIS
*
Group VAT Returns
*
Year-End Accounts & Corporation Tax Returns
*
CT61 completion and submission
*
Companies House administration
*
Quarterly interest payments to investors
*
Weekly and Monthly transaction processing
*
Group cost recharging
*
Group insurance policy management
*
Team management and development

About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
*
Strong experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role
*
Solid technical accounting skills and confidence managing complex group finances
*
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with non-finance teams
*
A hands-on, detail-focused approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
*
Ideally, experience within property, hospitality, or project-led environments (beneficial but not essential)
*
Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not required for the right candidate
