SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School (E1) Location: East London, E1
Contract: Full-time or part-time, ongoing / potential long-term
Start Date: ASAP or next term

The Role The school is seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND
* Assist in implementing individual learning plans and interventions
* Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet pupil needs
* Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Monitor and report pupil progress to the class teacher / SENDCo
* Support behaviour management in line with school values
* Prepare differentiated resources and assist with classroom organisation
* Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
Person Specification The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience supporting pupils with SEND (learning difficulties, SEMH needs, autism, speech and language difficulties, etc.)
* Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable
* Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management strategies
* Be organised, proactive, and collaborative
* Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one)
* Ideally hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE)
