Job Description:
Our client, a leading organisation in the procurement supply chain sector, is currently seeking a Head of Commercial/Procurement to join their team on a contract basis in Brighton. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in the office eight days per month.
Key Responsibilities: *Leading the entire commercial lifecycle, including procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management
*Ensuring compliance with best practices, legislative requirements, and organisational guidelines
*Developing and executing commercial strategies that support business continuity and outstanding supplier outcomes
*Managing the commercial team and fostering collaborative relationships across the organisation
*Overseeing major projects and outsourced contracts
*Providing innovative commercial solutions and maintaining robust contractual frameworks
*Reporting to the Director of Finance and playing a pivotal role in decision-making processes
Job Requirements: *MCIPS, BIFM, or equivalent professional qualification
*Proven experience in strategic procurement and contract management, especially with major outsourced contracts
*Strong knowledge of contract law, supplier management, and commercial best practice
*Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams
*Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation abilities
*Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to make sound decisions and assimilate complex information
*Experience working with organisational guidelines, regulatory bodies, and compliance requirements
