Elevation Recruitment are partnering with a long-established and highly successful engineering and fabrication organisation in the North Wes,t to recruit a number of experienced CNC Machinists who have the ability to program directly onto the machines, for their modern, purpose-built machining facility in Blackburn.

CNC Machinist
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Option 1:
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm | Friday: 7:30am–12:00pm (39 hpw)
Salary:c. £40,500 per annum
Option 2:
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45pm – 6am (35 hpw)
Salary: c£45,000
We are looking for machinists who can program the machines directly from drawings using any one of the following languages:
*Haas
*Heidenhain
*Fanuc
*Simens
We are looking for Machinists who have either Milling or Turning capability, or both.
Key Responsibilities
*Program, set and operate CNC Milling Machines OR CNC Lathes
*Select appropriate tooling and cutting strategies to support efficient, high-volume production.
*Work to tight tolerances, consistently delivering high-quality, conforming components.
*Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings accurately.
*Work confidently with various materials including exotic-grade alloys.
*Maintain exceptional standards of health & safety and quality.
*Collaborate and communicate effectively within a successful engineering team.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
*Time-served machinist with strong post-qualification experience in a technical machining setting.
*Proficient in programming from drawings.
*Strong understanding of tooling selection, work holding and cutting strategies.
*Background in high-tolerance environments (e.g., automotive) is highly desirable.
*Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality.
*Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
