Job Description:

We are looking for a general adult or forensic psychiatrist to fill a permanent position (37.5 hours per week) at The Farndon Unit in Newark. The job would see you join an established multidisciplinary team, including 2 other psychiatrists, 2 associate specialists, nursing, OT, psychology, social work and a sensory assessor. The unit houses 47 beds across five wards catering for female patients with low secure care Bolero and Cortland Wards), a high-dependency psychiatric rehabilitation unit (Aster Ward) and two acute wards (Ruby Frost and Darcy Ward).
You will act as a Responsible Clinician for 18 inpatients across the low secure and acute wards. You will need a CCT in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry or equivalent qualification and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.  You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing trauma informed and compassion focused care and utilises positive behavioral support to empower and assist service users in their recovery.

The Farndon Unit is located in Newark, Nottinghamshire and is part of IMPACT Provider Collaborative in the region with close links to NHS services with established care pathways. The Farndon Unit has excellent transport links and is commutable from Lincoln, Nottingham, Leicester, Sleaford and Mansfield.
