About the role
Responsible for the efficient running of our Restaurants operation within our bustling on site locations, you’ll ensure that the highest standard of service is met consistently, ensuring that we delight our guests and receive positive feedback.
Leading a team to not only deliver the best service to our customers but to make sure the team are always engaged and carrying out best practice, you will support with a great start to the day at breakfast, lunch, an afternoon milkshake treat, to a family meal at dinner, or the destination to meet your friends with a bottomless brunch Big Weekender style as a Duty Manager you’ll be vital in helping our guest’s create smiles – getting stuck in to give them memories that will last a lifetime! The purpose of the role is to ensure that high standard of service for all those hungry and thirsty moments inbetween is met consistently, and we delight our guests and generate positive feedback.
The role is also responsible for the team within the restaurant making sure they are fulfilled and supported to deliver the highest possible guest experience. You will be opening the restaurants and carry out closing procedures for each shift in line with set brand and company standards, operate the shift effectively whilst the restaurant is open including responding to any guest or team queries and ensuring all food safety and health and safety paperwork is complete in line with company policies and regulations.
This role covers 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 days, so flexibility is very important. A wide variety of shifts available and range between 8am - 10pm.
You will also oversee all team activities within the department including recruitment, performance, and team development. You should be a real advocate for your team’s fulfilment at work, ensuring that you are having regular 121’s and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlin’s.
As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Restaurant leader that can support the team to deliver fantastic service, putting the guests first in everything you do. You will have experience in training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellence experience.
You should have previous experience in a busy restaurant or food services environments where a balance of speed and quality is important. You should be confident to direct and respond in any situation whilst delivering consistent brand standards.
The ability to lead, motivate and engage your team, even at periods of high demand is important, as well as being able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
With strong leadership skills, you should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver amazing results for our teams and guests every day. Whilst your skills and experience are important to us, your approach, mindset and attitude are of equal interest to us.
