We have a new opportunity for a Group Architectural Technician to join our team within Vistry Services, at our Coleshill office. As our Group Architectural Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the Group Design and Technical functions in its day-to-day duties by coordinating the flow of data and information with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
The main purpose of the Group Design and Technical team is to design and maintain Vistry’s standard product – its house types – whilst supporting the regional businesses in delivering the standard product.
The standard product must always be complimentary to the strategic growth of the business, compliant with national (English) regulatory requirements, economic to build, aesthetically pleasing to both local authorities and purchasers, assist in the creation of strong placemaking and respond to our customer’s needs.

* Background in Architectural Technology.
* Previous experience in Residential Housing sector.
* Experience with Auto CAD and Revit is preferable.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate well with individuals at all levels.
* Proficient in MS Office programmes.
* Analytical approach.
* Positive attitude towards teamwork.
* You have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* You have excellent team working and feel comfortable with communicating at all levels.

* Educated to HNC/HND in a construction related qualification.
* More about the Group Architectural Technician role... * Assist with the collation, checking and approval of all ancillary specialist drawings, including:
* Beam and block ground floors, precast upper floors, Hot and cold water supply, heating, System 3 ventilation. Kitchens, Stairs, Joists, Trusses, Lintels
* Working with the Group Senior Architectural Technician to manage the delivery and maintenance of the Group standard house type portfolio.
* Ensure all drawings, details and third-party information are accurate, commercially suitable, and compliant with current regulations.
* Provide support in the creation and delivery of the new Group 2025 house type collection and then maintain them going forward.
* Provide support in the delivery and maintenance of Group Standard Details.
* Manage and review Consultants working on the standard product including, but not limited to, architects and structural engineers.
* Manage warranty Type Approval process where required and review approval to ensure that the conditions are addressed.
* Ensure that information is to the agreed Group construction and finishing specifications.
* Liaise with regional business units and attend meetings to progress all relevant Technical matters. And assist in resolving technical related queries.
* Provide support in the delivery and maintenance of the Group generic Temporary Works details.
* Ensure cost effective design control and buildability.
* Ensure that new regulation requirements are anticipated and incorporated as required.
* Expect and encourage continued change and improvement within the Company.
* Support and assist in the management of the Group Technical mailbox.
* Manage the collation and checking of all ancillary specialist drawings, including hot water supply, heating, kitchen, stair, lintels, beam and block ground floors, precast upper floors.
* Assist the business in achieving BIM Level 2 certification.
