Job Title: Part-Time Art Teacher with Strong Behaviour Management Skills
Location: Hillingdon, London
Salary: £160+ per day (DOE)
Contract: Part-time 2 days (term-time only)

Position Overview: We are looking for a part-time art teacher who not only possesses a deep understanding of various art mediums and techniques but also excels in managing student behaviour effectively. This role requires someone who can maintain a positive and productive classroom environment while inspiring creativity and guiding students in their artistic journey.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategies for managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere.
* Set clear expectations for student behaviour and enforce boundaries consistently and fairly.
* Address disruptive behaviour promptly and effectively, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
* Foster a sense of mutual respect and cooperation among students, promoting empathy and understanding.
* Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to develop and refine behaviour management policies and procedures.
* Provide support and guidance to students who may be struggling with behavioural challenges, working closely with parents and guardians as needed.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, with a relevant degree in education or a related field.
* Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field preferred.
* Proven experience as an art teacher or instructor, with a focus on behaviour management.
* Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as effective classroom management techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.
* Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanour, especially in challenging situations.
* Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
