Required
City & Guilds 706 - 1 & 2, NVQ level 2/3 in catering
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Good Communication skills
Team player
Ability to work on own initiative
Satisfactory DBS Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
Ability to work at various locations
Desired
Intermediate Food / Hygiene Certificate
Previous supervisory experience
Experience of Food Preparation in a care home
Main Responsibilities
Preparing fresh wholesome meals for elderly people, who have complex dietary requirements. Ability to plan seasonal menus, working within a fast paced kitchen. Ordering food supplies within a set budget. Good understanding of Safer Food Better Business processes. Good understanding of H&S and COSHH regulations.
0800-15.00PM hours, 3 or 4 shifts a week including alternate weekends.
