Job Description:
Working as part of the the Tansport team is a key customer facing part of our clients business. Your role is to liaise with other departments and meet the needs of their customers. Tasks include ship confirming the deliveries, zone booking in with retailers, answering enquiries both on emails and on the phone about the deliveries. Their customer base is varied and the team have to of manage both retailer customer service teams (over 200 retailers) and individual consumers. The team also need to liaise with their other operations departments and their own stores. This means that the team needs to be flexible and adaptable. A good delivery service contributes considerably to their sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Work effectively as part of the transport team.
· Communicate effectively at all levels.
· Respond positively and within acceptable time scales to internal and external customer requests.
· Maintain all service levels and achieve targets utilising all resources including a contingency for unexpected events
· Assist in the control of phones and the monitoring of calls.
· Assist in the investigation of problems with failed deliveries.
· Ensure that all procedures within the department are adhered to and any changes to be notified to line manager.
· Ensure that documents are completed to the required standard.
· Assist in the routine administration relating to delivery bookings and accurate reporting.
· Achieve and continually improve efficiency
· Assist in calls from direct sales customers regarding problem deliveries.
· Maintenance of accurate records in liaison with transport planner.
· Assist in the releasing of pick slips/ RMA’S
· Action any out of stocks that may occur
· Respond efficiently to emails within the transport inbox.
· Ad hoc duties when required.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience/Profile
· The job holder needs to be practical and be prepared to do whatever it takes to get results. Must have a good commercial acumen and be an articulate, clear communicator.
· The role will be 40 hours per week.
