Laundry Assistant
Hours: 37 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm
Location: Inverness
Pay rate: £11.90 per hour
A Basic Disclosure issued in the last 12 months is required for this role

Our public sector client based in Inverness require a number of Laundry Assistants for an immediate start on a temporary basis.

Main Purpose of the role:
Staff members will be required to work in various operations throughout the laundry process, and to achieve production targets.

Main Duties: * Categorising dirty linen received from NHS hospitals
* Feeding work to and unloading work from industrial ironing and folding equipment
* Packing & folding linen items
* Cleaning equipment and laundry in general
* Pushing & pulling cages of linen
Key Skills: * Effective verbal communication skills
* Ability to work with others as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
* Physically demanding job. Constantly standing, bending, lifting and twisting for the full working day
* Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet delivery
* Working in varying temperatures throughout the laundry
* Previous experience of laundry work would be beneficial however not a prerequisite as training will be given
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
